PATAGONIA POTTERY -BOX /ONE OF A KIND

Patagonia’s amazing hand-made pottery.  
The beautiful colors are created by the reaction between the metal elements in the glaze and the surrounding air.
The glaze itself is made from Patagonian mountain soil, which is left to ferment for two to three months.
This raku technique was first used by a Japanese woman who traveled to Patagonia in the 1970s, and it has since been passed down to her disciples.

パタゴニアの素晴らしいハンドメイドの陶器です。

美しい色は、釉薬に含まれる金属成分が空気中の酸素と反応することで生まれます。
釉薬自体はパタゴニアの山の土から作られ、2〜3か月間発酵させて使用します。
この「楽焼（らくやき）」の技法は、1970年代にパタゴニアを旅した一人の日本人女性によって始められ、現在では彼女の弟子たちに受け継がれています。
