seya. voyage 2026 Apéro de printemps

In April, many people from around the world come to Japan hoping to see the cherry blossoms. Seya’s French team was among them: Eric Pillaut, our Art Director, and Isaac Reina, with whom we collaborate on bags, came to visit us.

As spring settled in, we started talking about organising an informal get-together, a sort of a backstage gathering.

For the venue, we chose Tabac, a wine bar in Yoyogi-Uehara marked by the sign of a traditional French tobacco store.

Just like the bar-tabacs you find in Paris, it has a relaxed, casual atmosphere, while remaining refined. The people who run it are easy-going and elegant.

Hidden behind the railway arches is a secret courtyard where smoking is allowed. The selection of natural wines is perfect.

It felt like the perfect setting to gather with the French team: people who create exceptional things, yet always remain friendly. Talking with them feels less like meeting industry figures and more like catching up with your nice uncle.

There was no exhibition, no presentation, just a simple moment shared for the pleasure of being together. A celebration of the people around us, and of their lightness of spirit that makes working together so special.

The event was documented by E-Wax, the eye behind Seya.’s backstage moments.

Thank you all so much!
