KHADI とはインドで手仕事を意味します。 手紡ぎなので糸の隙間が機械織りよりも空気を含み、軽くて速乾性に優れています。
“Khadi” means handwork in India.
It is the Khadi’s unevenness, its slubbed appearance, that makes the unique charm of this fabric.
インド産の手紡、手撚糸、手織りのシルク。 ゴールデンシルクと言われる希少なシルクの色は、特別な蚕のナチュラルな色です。 大きな釡で蚕を煮出し、糸を紡ぎ、縒り、織り壮大な行程を 西ベンガルの草原の真ん中にあるアトリエで全て手で行なっています。
The fabric is undyed.
The golden color is natural, resulting from a rare specific silkworm’s thread.
Each step of the production process is handmade in India. threads are hand spun and hand twisted,
and the fabric is hand weaved.
This incredible process is made in West Bengal, in an atelier in the middle of a vast meadow.
